Sweet Sarah and Prickly Boy

 

Prickly Boy got himself
injured,
Prickly Boy curled up
to die.
He was noticed by Sweet Sarah
and her puppy
passing by.

Sweet Sarah carried
the hedgehog home,
too kind to worry
’bout fleas.
The puppy had barked,
but stayed away.
He’d been a
really good puppy,
indeed.

Now, I don’t know
if Prickly Boy lived,
but to Sarah
I have to say;
I don’t think many
were kinder than you,
on this one
particular day!
