The way you move, the way you sway
the way I miss you when you go away!
My love, I could spend a million years
just hoping and dreaming of having you near.
So dark and cold, so miserable
to live without you isn’t feasible!
I miss your touch upon my skin!
I miss how you light the fires within!
I miss your joy, your zest for life,
I miss your warmth, and our long nights!
Oh, come my love, let’s not pretend
that we don’t both want this winter to end!
Oh, come my love, let’s start anew,
my summer’s sun, I do love you!
Today’s prompt over at Pooky’s Poems urges us to write a poem where the last line changes all the meaning of the poem. I believe I’ve done this before on at least one naughty but memorable occasion here. This is my offering today.
