there’s no need for knives or forks.
It really is a delicious meal
– and don’t worry ’bout calories.
So come on down, sit and talk to me,
let’s pretend it’s real fat that we chew.

Over at Pooky’s Poems, today’s prompt was about quaint or strange figures of speech. I suppose you could call me lazy since I chose one of the suggestions she made rather than come up with my own, but I still got this weird idea when I started thinking of the figure of speech ‘chew the fat’. Short and rather sweet.
