Yes, I know it makes no sense, but today’s prompt at Imaginary Garden with Real Toads is to write an avant edge poem. My mum should be proud of this (see mum, I do listen!!!), since her incessant sharing of posts on Facebook concerning ‘save the oceans’ and ‘eat only fish that aren’t endangered’ was my inspiration.
Read from top to bottom, the first syllable of each sentence spells out ‘live conscientiously’, and the first line of each sentence ends with ‘delay depletion of the seas for all’. I’ve also managed to sneak fishes in among the gibberish AND (in my humble opinion) still keep some kind of rhythm going. What do you think?
